Coach Jim Algeo, Jr. is entering his 36th season coaching football (4th at Spring-Ford), and is enthusiastic and eager to coach the Wide Receivers!  Jim graduated from Lansdale Catholic in 1979, where he played quarterback and won the Inter-County League championship his senior season.  He coached at Lansdale Catholic, with his father, Jim Algeo, Sr.  Jim is one of 9 children of Jim and Mickey Algeo, many who have continued the legacy of coaching.  Jim has been happily married to Mary Wilson since 1988.  He is the proud father of Shannon (SF ‘07), Sean, Anna, and Sarah.  Jim graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy University in 1988 and was hired as a Social Studies teacher by Pottsgrove in 1989.

Jim coached at Pottsgrove from 1989 until 2017.  He coached everything from Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks, Oline, Dline and Strong Safeties.  He was part of a program that won 9 PAC 10 titles and 4 District 1 titles.

Jim is looking forward to continue to emphasize the balance of competition, education, and sportsmanship here at Spring-Ford.
